Promise is the Senior Partner of Coghlan and Welsh Legal Practitioners. He joined Messrs. Coghlan & Welsh, Legal Practitioners, as a Professional Assistant immediately on leaving Law School, and was registered and admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the High Court. He was admitted into the partnership of Messrs. Coghlan & Welsh, Legal Practitioners after only three years in practice. He was then elevated to the position of Managing Partner and Staff Partner. He eventually became the Senior Partner of the firm in 2007, a position he holds to date. Promise is skilled in Leadership and Management Skills, Financial Literacy and Dispute Resolution Skills among others. He is a member of the SADC Panel of Arbitrators and he sits on various Boards including Ecobank, Zimbabwe.
Promise holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Zimbabwe, Bachelor of Law Honours Degree (BL) from the University of Zimbabwe and Development Lawyers Course from Rome, Italy. He joined Legal Resources Foundation Board in 2017.
Chair Of Public Interest And Advocacy Committee
Tinoziva is the Senior Partner and Founder of Bere Brothers Legal Practitioners. He is also a Member of Panel of Arbitrators and Conciliators of The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) of World Bank, a Board Member of Ecobank Zimbabwe, a Chairperson of Risk Management Committee of Ecobank Zimbabwe as well as a former President of Law Society of Zimbabwe (2011-2013). Board member of Zimbabwe lawyer for Human Rights and former Board Chairperson of The Zimbabwe Election Support Network (ZESN) (an electoral justice NGO. Tino’s area of specialisation is Corporate Law with emphasis on innovative institutional set up and advancement, corporate structure design and implementation, strategy formulation or alignment, labour law advisory and framework design, legal due diligence for businesses and person, legal and business risk review and mitigation, corporate ethics and anti-corruption framework. He also has interest and skills in special property structures and projects legal service, property law practice, commercial transactions legal service, business set up, business acquisitions, investment law and resources sector legal advisory.
Tino holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the University Zimbabwe, and is Founding Board Member and Board Treasurer of Mutare Legal Projects Centre. Tino joined the National Board of the Legal Resources Foundation Board in 2016.
Anna is a registered legal practitioner, conveyancer and notary public who has worked in private practice focusing on commercial law, conveyancing, estate administration, family law, intellectual property. Anna also has experience working for international organisations. Presently Anna is the Head of Office for the International Committee of the Red Cross here in Zimbabwe. Anna is involved with several charities organisations working with marginalized groups, in particular women and children and is a member of the Advisory Board of Emerald Hill Children’s Home in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Anna holds a Masters in Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy of IHL and Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland, a Master of Laws in International Law from the University of Pretoria, in Pretoria, South Africa as well as a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree from the University of Zimbabwe in Harare, Zimbabwe. She joined the Legal Resources Foundation Board in 2019.
Barnabas is the Director in charge of Group Internal Audit and Investigations at FBC Holdings. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Honors Degree (University of Zimbabwe), Bachelor of Accounting Science Honors Degree (University of South Africa), Masters in Business Administration (Africa University) and a Certificate in Theory of Accounting (Institute of Chartered Accountants).
He has over 20 years of experience in Auditing, Finance, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Compliance and Business Advisory. His experience spans over various industries including Financial services, Manufacturing, Retail, Mining, Agriculture and Tourism.
He sits on several Boards including FBC Health Insurance and FBC Holdings Pension Fund. He is the immediate past President of the Zimbabwe Institute of Internal Auditors and currently sits on its Board.
Susan is an internationally certified Commercial Arbitrator and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK). She is a former partner in the law firm Danziger and Partners. She was the inaugural Company Secretary and Legal Advisor for the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority and subsequently Managing Director/ Country Manager in a multinational corporation. She is a former Chairman of the Institute of Directors Zimbabwe and past Chairman of the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust. Susan has served as non-executive director in various industries including banking, insurance, telecommunications, real estate and not-for-profit organisations.
She holds an LLB Hons degree from the University of Zimbabwe, an MBA and LLM from the United Kingdom and an arbitration degree from Switzerland. She sits on the AFSA SADC Division panel of arbitrators and currently practices as a full time independent commercial arbitrator. She joined Legal Resources Foundation Board in 2019.
Rachel is the Executive Director of the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust. She has over 30 years experience having worked for various organistions across various sectors. She has worked in the manufacturing, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)mining and printing sector for leading organisations.
Her financial expertise includes internal audit, project management, corporate governance and donor compliance and reporting.
Rachel holds a bachelor accountancy honors degree from university of Zimbabwe, an MBA from East and Southern African Institute (ESAMI) and is an Associate Chartered Governance and Accountancy professional.
Nokubekezela Phuthi Nyuke
Noku is the Managing Director of Treger Plastics, a division of Treger Products (Pvt) Ltd. She completed articles of clerkship with Deloitte and Touche where she was audit manager before joining Delta Beverages as a management accountant. Noku was Finance Manager in the Sparkling Beverages Division prior to joining Tregers group. She is a business executive with a strong background in finance including financial reporting, internal controls, cash flow management and management accounting.
Noku holds a Bachelor in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa (UNISA), a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School and a Chartered Accountant – CA (Z) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe. She joined the Legal Resources Foundation Board in 2021.
Ollett is the Finance Executive for Operations at Liquid Intelligent Technologies Zimbabwe and was awarded the Young Achievers Award (2nd runner up) for the ICAZ 2021 Excellence Awards. She completed her articles of clerkship with Grant Thornton Zimbabwe and rose through the firm from an Audit Clerk to a Manager in the advisory department. She was promoted to Manager – Advisory Services, a position that supported the successful resuscitation of some of the top companies and household brands in Zimbabwe such as ZIMASCO, Barco Chemicals, Agrifoods, Blue Ribbon Foods, Cairns Foods, and Lobels Bread. Ollett also worked for Masimba Holdings Limited and Cailo Marketing Services (a subsidiary of Takura Capital Partners).
Ollett is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner (Associate) & a Registered Estate Administrator with over 10 years’ experience. She is a member of the Women Chartered Accountants Network and is also a Board Member of the National Blood Services Zimbabwe. She joined the Legal Resources Foundation Board in 2021.

Valerie is a registered legal Practitioner, conveyancer and notary public. Valerie worked as a Public prosecutor for the National Prosecuting Authority at Mutare Magistrates Court from 2005 to 2009.
She has been working for the LRF from 2009 to date where she rose through the ranks from a Projects lawyer to the head of the Manicaland provincial office. In 2019 she became the head of the Advocacy, Research and Strategic Litigation department.
She has extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation promoting the interests of the marginalised and underprivileged people in Zimbabwe.She has a passion for human rights advocacy, research and strategic litigation.
Valerie was appointed as the Executive Director of the LRF on 1 July 2022.
